“But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.”

Reflection

Amos warned that worship means little without justice. As South Africa navigates a shifting world and complex alliances, our voice among the nations carries weight only when it is matched by justice at home.

We pray

• For wisdom for our leaders as they choose partnerships among the nations, that every alliance would be weighed by righteousness, not advantage alone.
• Lord, let South Africa stand consistently for human dignity and human rights, everywhere and for everyone.
• Father, let justice flow first in our own streets, courts and homes.
