The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
This morning, as I gaze at the skies and ponder the vastness of creation, I’m struck by a fresh sense of awe. We read and hear of galaxies yet to be discovered, of stars beyond what the naked eye can perceive, of distant planets and worlds still hidden from us. The universe is alive with mystery—worlds upon worlds, stars still being born, galaxies we may never touch. All of it, breathed into existence by the voice of God.
And yet, we only see in part. We admire the stars, but we cannot fully grasp their brilliance. We marvel at creation, but we’re just scratching the surface of its wonder. It’s as though creation itself whispers, “There is more. There is always more.”
Today, I’m deeply reminded that I am on a lifelong journey of discovering God. Though I’ve walked with Him for more than twenty years, I sense how much more of Him there is to know—how much beauty remains unrevealed, not because God withholds, but because He invites us into an eternal unfolding.
So today, I pause. I quiet my soul. I’ve chosen to spend the day in prayer and fasting—not out of duty or self-denial, but as a sacred invitation to deeper intimacy. This isn’t a hunger strike; it’s a heart cry. I long to hear what the heavens are declaring today about the glory of my God. I long to lean in, to listen, to worship, to discover.
May I wait patiently until the evening for my first meal—not to prove anything, but because my hunger is for Him.
Oh Jesus, reveal Yourself anew to me today. Help me see what You’re saying through creation.
My heart longs for a fresh glimpse of Your majesty.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
