Remember Me

“Remember me, Lord, when you show favor to your people; come to my aid when you save them, that I may enjoy the prosperity of Your chosen ones, that I may share in the joy of Your nation and join Your inheritance in giving praise.” ‭‭—Psalms‬ ‭106:4-5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

As though You could ever forget me. As though You could ever leave me or forsake me. As though I am not already Your chosen one. As though Your plans for me are not to prosper me. As though Your joy is not already my strength. As though I do not belong to Your holy nation. As though I do not already hold an eternal inheritance in You.

Sometimes, Lord, I pray not because You need reminding, but because *I* do. I pray to anchor myself in the truth of who I am in You. I pray to strengthen my faith, so I might boldly walk in what You have already provided.

Tonight, as I utter the words “remember me,” I do so to remind my heart, my mind, and my emotions that I am fully known and fully loved by You. When I pray for prosperity, I do so not out of lack but to embrace it with courage—knowing it is Your gift and to steward it according to Your purpose. You are my source, my strength, and my joy.

Thank You, Lord, for gently reminding me of these truths. I love You, Jesus—my Lord, my Savior, and my everything.
