God, today I reflect on the woman who aided Israel’s spies, who received in abundance from You. Her ability to receive blessings inspires me, and yet, I find myself grappling with receiving. Give me a heart like hers, one that’s open to serve You, even when I feel unworthy, and one ready to accept blessings, regardless of my past.
Ruth also stirs in me admiration. Despite her past experiences and humble origin, she had the courage to be part of your lineage. Lord, grant me a courageous heart like Ruth’s, to openly receive.
I think of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Little is known about her background, but she was chosen by You, holding a special place. Let me have a heart like Mary’s, welcoming Your favor and allowing it to move in my life.
Let’s not forget Sarah, who laughed at Your promise yet, she reminds me that Your gifts are given freely. Lord, help me not to let the season of receiving pass me by. Provide me the bravery to embrace Your offerings. Let me immerse in Your mercy and grace as You nurture me with blessings, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
