Listening to Pastor Shirley Caesar
⚠️ Long Post
I believe one of the hardest paths to walk is to walk a path you’ve never seen anyone in your family or extended family walk before you. Most of us take that for granted. Pioneers walk the most difficult of journeys…
Today I want to encourage you to take a moment and praise God, when you’re done praising pat yourself on the back for the new territories you’ve conquered for your family. The next generation will celebrate you for it. Count your blessings name them one by one. It will surprise you to see what the Lord has done through you.
See, most of us have been pioneers in our families, spiritually or educationally or business wise. I know many of my friends had to look outside their families and race to learn how to do it. Many have faced resistance in their own families when they were pushing for more or seeking His ways! Choosing to be sold out to Him and only Him. Many have lost extended families because of their choices. God through His grace made the journey worth it. God through His grace gave the courage to keep walking. God through His grace gave them power to hold on in the midst of trial, tribulation and much loss.
A friend of mine said the other day: “the saddest thing is that wins have no scars”, by that she meant, when we are wounded, we hardly forget because usually a scar remains as a reminder. However, when we win, we quickly forget because wins don’t leave scars to serve as a reminder.
Miracles are His memorial! Today I took a moment and celebrated the wins from the past, encouraged that more wins will be in the future. Because we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony.
I believe God dropped this song in my spirit as a reminder of just how far He has been with me.
This song used to be one of my favorites while I was studying for my honors. I believe that year was one of my hardest study years simple because all tests were written on the same day, back to back. Between the unending study sessions I would listen to this song, sleep on it. Wake up more energized than ever and carry on studying.
I believe the Lord helped me through this song to utter a prayer I needed but could not have authored on my own. I believe through this song I was asking Him for miracles and unending breakthroughs. I was asking for courage to keep breaking ground and introduce my family to new territories, spiritually and vocationally. I know there was hard work but I know without a shadow of doubt that there was a supernatural enablement.
Lord I thank you today, for everything you’ve done in the past. When I look back I have faith to believe for more. Now I know you will take me beyond my wildest imagination. I’ve seen you do it! You’ve given beyond the deserved. Truly you are wonderful, gracious and kind. Every good gift comes from You.
Silindile, well done for breaking ground for the next generation. Well done done for depending on Him and letting Him be your source. Look up, Great is the Lord and Greatly to be praised.
