Divinely Summonned

I write this letter to all his beloved chosen ones in Rome, for you have been divinely summoned to be holy. May his joyous grace and total well-being, flowing from our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, rest upon you.” Romans 1:7 TPT

There is a level of authority that the summons come with. They are always issued by one with a level of authority. When one gets them, they have no choice but to appear at a specified place.

This portion of scripture says you have been divinely summoned to holiness. There is a level of power and authority that this divine summon comes with that we have to become holy. We are divinely propelled.

I’ve been reading this one since last night and each time I pause on this portion of scripture. There are two ways to read this. You can look at it legalistically and go on a hunt of rules and regulations to apply to be holy. Starting from a place of fear that oh my god I will never make it!

Alternatively you can read this with thankfulness and a deeper appreciation that the enabler has already enabled you to be holy. We are divinely summoned.

When I read this I’m encouraged that He will give me all He has for me to live holy. That He will apply all His might on my behalf. That all of heaven is behind me. That there is only one outcome. Victory is the only outcome. And I know I’m not off the mark because somewhere else in scripture He says we have been clothed in righteousness through our belief in Christ. He says Abraham’s faith made him righteous.

So I know I am holy, His divine gift changes how I walk, how I talk, how I am. I start from a place of victory, I start from a place of knowing I already am in His eyes because I believe in Jesus Christ. NO one can contest the divine summons. His Holiness rests upon me therefore I AM as HOLY as HE Is.

Than my day starts with joy and thankfulness that my enabler will order every step, every word out of my mouth. No guilt and no condemnation. I’m walking in power. I’m walking in miracles. I live a life of favor. I know who I am. Happy Friday.
