Praying for South Africa over Covid 19

“Confess and acknowledge how you have offended one another and then pray for one another to be instantly healed, for tremendous power is released through the passionate, heartfelt prayer of a godly believer!” James (Jacob)‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭

Lord so often as a nation we have focused on color and tribal lines. We have treated one another unfairly. We have held on to unforgiveness as a right. We have felt justified to hate. We ask you to forgive us and cleanse us of all sin. We know that you want us to love and honor one another as brothers and sisters no matter our backgrounds, ethnicity or tribal lines. We are all your creation and your children. Forgive us Lord. Heal us Lord.

What a blessing to know that we are full of power. That all we need to do is release power when we pray. Release the same power that raised Jesus from the grave. You promise us in your word that tremendous power is made available when a believer prays.

Lord I am a believer therefore I pray over this nation. Let this corona virus be stopped in it’s tracks before it overwhelms the health system in this nation. Lord I thank you that those who are infected will be healed. No more deaths Lord. No more deaths.

Lord I thank you that you will help the authorities implement effective strategies. Once implemented let there be unity. May we be a nation that obeys instruction. May we corporate with the government. Protect our health workers from harm in Jesus Name. Expose the lies of the enemy and all fake news there is. In the Name of Jesus I thank you that we will come out stronger, because in you victory is sure.

You love this nation and her people. It’s not over for South Africa Lord. The best days are ahead of us. You will do a new thing in South Africa. You will show yourself strong on our behalf. Your strength is made perfect in weakness. We speak life over every dry bone and we say come alive. Come alive. Come alive. Heed the word of the Lord and come alive. In Jesus Name Amen.
