Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2
Today I got a devotional message with this scripture and it dawned on me afresh that in His will God has made us positionally eligible for healing and prosperity beyond spiritual prosperity.
So if relationally we are not prospering, God has given us a license to ask boldly for relational prosperity because His word already tells us that He desires for us to prosper in all things. He has already made known His will for our lives. We should not second guess and doubt as a double minded man is unstable in all his ways (James 1:8).
If financially we are not prospering, we do not need to start our prayer wondering if God desires for us to prosper financially, God has given us the license to ask for wisdom on how we can get to financial prosperity so that in the same way our soul is prospering we can also prosper in the area of finances.
If we are not in good health, we do not need to seek what His will for our health is, He has already told us in His word that He desires that our health prospers as much as our soul prospers.
Meditating on this portion of scripture made me realised that most times I am praying small and wrong prayers. It’s either false humility or a perishing that is caused by lack of knowledge. It’s time to stop saying if it is your will, and start asking Him in accordance with His will and with boldness. It’s time we enter the throne room more often.
Therefore today I pause and ask: Lord bless this nation with financial prosperity. If the nation prospers its people from all walks of life will prosper too.
Give our leaders the wisdom and supernatural ability to design national plans that are implementable and can lead to prosperity of this nation in the long run. Once those plans are built give this nation capable and committed servants to implement. Give us the desire and courage to take our places. Let no single citizen and permanent resident be misplaced. Let those who are called and capable of serving in government institutions not shy away from them but take their place. Lord we know you will do a mighty work in this nation according to your power that is at work in us. Therefore, open our spiritual eyes to see the way you do! Align our will and desires concerning our careers to yours. Should you call us to government let there be a resounding yes in our spirit. As you root out corruption thank you, you will replace those positions with capable people who have a heart to serve the people of this nation.
Lord thank you that it is your will for us to live in financial prosperity, I therefore ask that you would give us an eye for business opportunities and the courage to seize those opportunities. Let there be a boom of entrepreneurs in this nation. Small businesses that are sustainable and create millions of employment opportunities. Give us power to work diligently and smartly so that we can accumulate financial wealth for your glory.
Lord help us heal as a nation and give us a heart filled with love for one another. Let there be a supernatural relational reconciliation in a way never seen. While we celebrate our diversity help us to love and honor across color and tribal lines.
We can not do this in human wisdom Lord, therefore I ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Amen.
