““Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”
Matthew 7:7 NLT
Yesterday morning I prayed for my faith life to rise up and forge through disappointment trusting God for the unimaginable and unprecedented breakthroughs.
By the end of the day I got an email saying NO to something I was believing God for. I was disappointed. Not angry but simply disappointed and discouraged. But I did something differently this time I took that disappointment to God. . . As vulnerable as I could be I told Him how disappointed I was. Then, I went to bed early (as most disappointed people would). Since I’d gone to bed early I ended waking up in the middle of the night. I picked up my phone out of boredom and to my surprise found this verse of the day highlighted on my phone.
What this says to me is that delay is not denial. God cares so much that through the disappointment He sent me a message to encourage my faith to keep on keeping on. I’m inspired to keep asking, to keep knocking, to keep seeking and to keep believing with confidence that I will receive. It might not be today but it will be soon I will possess my heart’s desire. And God will get all the glory. So I will continue to ask.
Lord thank you that you will still come through. Not in the way I initially thought you would, not through the people I initially thought you would. But in your own precious way. So I wait knowing that I WILL receive. Not many days from today Lord I wait patiently for you to come and move on my behalf. One of these precious days I will share my testimony of your unprecedented provision.
Today I command my day to be filled with joy, not because of my circumstances but because I know who you are. You are faithful, You are all sufficient, You are all knowing, You never forsake your own, You are a good, good father and You know what’s best for me. You are never late, You are always on time. And above all You are love. Fill my heart with joy and endless hope as I wait for you to come through. TODAY my heart is going to be filled with unspeakable joy and laughter like I’ve never experienced in my life before. 24 July 2018 is my most joyous day in all history yet. In Jesus Name.
Thank you Lord that nothing will ever separate me from your love. I will always ask from you. I will never stop asking from you Father. Thank you that I have no other substitute. You are my only hope. In Jesus Name, Amen.
