Jesus is the real deal. As I was heading home from work today, I was nagged by this work-related issue, causing my anxiety to mount exponentially.
As I was amplifying my stress levels, my iTunes playlist started playing a song by Elevation Worship titled “I will look up”. On the brink of sadness, I heard the powerful lyrics: “I will surrender every anxious thought! I will choose to trust Your Name in everything. I will look up for there is none above You! I will bow down to tell You that I need you, Jesus Lord of all!”
This heralded an indescribable sense of peace into my heart. By the time I reached home, what seemed overwhelming had been diminished to a non-issue. The outcome remains unknown to me, but I’ve been reminded of the Omnipotent who knows the future—it comforts me to know that my life is safely nestled in His hands.
