One of my favorite songs is “Holy” by Planet Shakers. It mirrors the perpetual worship of the angels in the heavens. There are likely many reasons why the angels continually praise, “Holy, holy, holy”, but I’m convinced one reason is their recognition of His unyielding love for our flawed, fragmented, sinful humanity. They witness His plan of redemption for me and remain in awe! They marvel at how, despite everything, the Lord’s nature remains unchanging.
Despite the number of times we let Him down, His love persists without limit. He remains devoted to His goal of cleansing His bride, preparing her for the day when He reunites with her – a day when she will be pure and unblemished.
There have been moments of defeat, moments when I saw no hope for myself, moments when I felt abandoned. Yet, the chorus of the angels reassures, reminding me there exists a relentless power in the heavens that refuses to abandon me. This force is constantly prepared to cleanse me, instilling a sense of purpose in my heart and paving the path to fulfill it.
This stirs a comforting thought that the one who initiated a transformation within me is, by nature, HOLY, unvarying, and always remains faithful to His commands. I find solace knowing I am in alignment with His will, and the realization that this divine force will guide my next steps fills my heart with faith, driving away fear.
This brings to mind the husband who does not share in this divine love. How unfortunate he is! Oh, Husband, it is a tough task to love your spouse without having known the Lord’s love. For you are called to lend the same love to your wife as the Lord has extended to His bride… the love of redemption!
The Lord is Holy!
